Properties:N-Heptane is an organic compound with the chemical formula C7H16. It is a colorless, transparent, and volatile liquid that is insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol and carbon tetrachloride, and miscible with ether, chloroform, acetone, and benzene.
Usage:It is mainly used as a standard substance and solvent for octane number determination, and can also be used for organic synthesis and preparation of experimental reagents.

Storage:Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Stay away from sources of fire and heat. The storage temperature should not exceed 30 ºC. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidants and avoid mixing storage. Adopt explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. Prohibit the use of mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to generating sparks. The storage area should be equipped with emergency response equipment for leaks and suitable containment materials.
